Finally! I'm done with it! I know, I could work on it more but I guess that process wouldn't ever end.
I used photoshop and wacom tablet without the usage of reference photos. Okay, I checked partial references for muscles and horse anatomy and had inspirations for this work. I never done this kind of background before. The whole painting took almost three weeks, because I had to figure out so many things... but you asked for fantasy creatures, so here it is.
